Capital Nature is an investment company that focuses on investing in early stage companies with ground breaking technologies in the fields of renewable energy and its derivatives, including production, storage and energy efficiency, across various verticals such as mobility, industry, infrastructure, water, agriculture, construction and computing.

Capital Nature’s portfolio consists of 7 companies in different stages of maturity. All companies, bred from inception, have developed innovative technologies, products and services aiming to solve significant challenges in global markets.

Along their lifecycle, Capital Nature provides its portfolio companies with hands-on business, financial and operational support, including a unique lab and testing site in the Eilat-Eilot region in the south of Israel. After the 18-24-month incubation period Capital Nature continues to support its portfolio companies with follow on investments and services according to their needs.

The Capital Nature team, led by Anat Tsour Segal, includes professionals in the fields of science, engineering, industry, operations and finance, as well as a variety of top tier service providers and consultants, providing all functions necessary for a young enterprise. Capital Nature’s shareholders, including Elbit, Refael, Direct Insurance, Consensus Business Group and Proseed Fund, share their knowledge and eco-systems with the company and its portfolio.

Capital Nature was established in Israel in 2012, and holds a franchise to operate a technological incubator under the Israeli Innovation Authority Incubator program. The company is based in Israel, with HQ in Tel Aviv, and offices in Eilat Eilot and London.

Anat Tsour Segal

CEO

Anat joined Capital Nature in 2018. Anat brings expertise in venture creation and development, corporate finance and investment management, with strong focus on innovation. Prior to joining Capital Nature in 2018, Ms. Tsour Segal has executed and managed venture capital and private equity investments for sizable global investors, concentrating in technology, life science, clean-tech, and cyber security. From 2003 – 2016 Ms. Tsour Segal has founded and served as CEO of Xenia Venture Capital, a leading publicly traded (TASE) Israeli seed stage Investment company and a technological incubator. Under Ms. Tsour Segal’s guidance, Xenia has seeded over 20 companies that have reached a cumulative value of over $1 Billion and attained several successful exits. Ms. Tsour Segal was also Managing Director & Head of Corporate Finance of Tamir Fishman and held senior Investment Banking and Banking positions with Robertson Stephens/Evergreen, Poalim Capital Markets and Bank Hapoalim.  Anat volunteers as lecturer and mentor in various organizations in the academia and the high -tech eco-system, with a strong emphasis on empowerment of women in the entrepreneurial community.  Ms. Tsour Segal holds a BA in Economics and Management, MBA and L.L.B. from the Tel Aviv University.

Dr. Avi Luvchik

VP Business Development

Avi joined Capital Nature in 2019. Prior to joining Capital-Nature, between 2015 – 2019 Avi served as environmental and electricity Engineer in Intel Israel. During his work Avi was in charge of energy efficiency as well as Intel’s GHG missions and renewable energy implementation. Prior to joining Intel, Avi served as scientific advisor for the Israeli Ministry of Treasury worked on various national programs including: energy efficiency incentives for the industry sector, greenhouse gas emission towards 2030, and the Israeli natural gas agreement. Prior to that, Avi has accomplished his PhD from the Imperial College, London, focusing on mathematical models for renewable energy technologies. In the framework of his main dissertation, Avi has developed a mathematical model aimed at predicting electricity generation capacity based on atmospheric parameters. The model was proven as an effective tool in choosing the location of solar power plants and is being applied in a number of countries in Europe. 
Avi holds BS.c in Environmental sciences, MS.c in Geophysics from Tel-Aviv University and a PhD from Imperial College, London – Energy Future Lab.

Shauli Rejwan

Deal Flow Manager

Shauli Joined Capital Nature in 2019.  As Associate & Deal Flow Manager, Shauli focus on scouting and screening ventures and entrepreneurs for Capital Nature’s Incubator and seed-stage investments, as well as promoting communities thereby enriching the eco-system and Capital Nature’s role within it. Shauli possesses unique field-acquired experience in building startups – encompassing hands-on technology supervision and product development along with financial and business development.
Among other ventures, Shauli has established a consulting firm for tech research and early-stage investors.
Shauli is a core member and specialist in the cryptocurrencies and blockchain ecosystems in Israel and abroad, and is an active volunteer in the Israeli Bitcoin Embassy in TLV. 

Shauli holds a CPA license and a B.A Major in Accounting from the Inter-Disciplinary Center in Herzliya, where he has participated in the IDC’s Elite Program for Entrepreneurship at the Adelson School of Entrepreneurship, IDC, Herzliya.

Tali Biron

CFO

Tali joined Capital Nature in 2017, bringing extensive experience in accounting, cashflow control and financial and budget planning, for both startups and private and public holding companies and incubators. In the scope of her responsibility, Tali oversees Capital Natures’ financial and legal activities, including fundraising and investment execution, as well as its’ portfolio companies, providing them with CFO and bookkeeping services (during their incubation period and thereafter as needed), overseeing their next rounds of financing and other commercial activities. Prior to joining Capital Nature, Tali served as the Controller of Gefen Biomed Investment, a public holding company and technological incubator traded on the Tel-Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE).

Dr. Dan Sagie

Chief Scientist

Dan joined Capital Nature in 2014 bringing extensive experience and a deep understanding of energy technologies and project implementation. Dan spent most of his professional career at the Nuclear Research Center, Negev (NRCN). Since 1982, Dan is also projects manager and then the Chief Scientist for Renewable Energy in Rotem Industries – NRCN’s commercial arm. Throughout his career, Dan was involved in large scale projects to name only a few: he was CEO of Laser-On, a start targeting the Medical lasers market, he headed the commercial scale volumetric air receiver Rotem’s project together with Boeing and Ormat at the Weizmann Institute Solar Facilities, he led the R&D of solar power plants new generations at Siemens CSP (formerly Solel), he worked at the U. of Chicago (non-imaging optics) and spent a Sabbatical at NREL in CO, USA. Dan was the Ministry of Energy chief Scientist’s referee for Solar Energy, and currently serves as the secretary of ISES Israeli section.

Dan holds a PhD in Gas Dynamics from the University of Toronto, UTIAS (1981); M.Sc. at the Ben Gurion University (1979), and a B.Sc. in Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering from the Technion (1964).

Michal Bahat

Operations Manager

Michal joined Capital Nature in 2019, bringing extensive experience in building businesses and nurturing their growth, building organizational procedures based on company policies and goals, streamlining and generating efficiencies in organizational activities, and conducting complex processes between large governmental and business organizations, including large scale procurement projects.
Prior to joining Capital Nature, Michal was an entrepreneur, owner and active manager of a neighborhood coffee place. Prior to that, Michal was Global Procurement and Contract Manager at Better Place and before that, was a Senior Buyer and Contract Manager at the IDF Mission to the US in NYC.
