Capital Nature is an investment company that focuses on investing in early stage companies with ground breaking technologies in the fields of Climatech including: Energy (generation, storage, transmission, management), Sustainable Mobility (automotive, logistics, smart cities), Construction-tech (green construction, low-carbon buildings), and Circular Economy (natural resources, reuse & recycling, new materials).
Capital Nature’s portfolio consists of 13 companies in different stages of maturity. All are developing innovative technologies, products and services aiming to solve significant challenges in global markets. 9 companies have started in the IIA Incubation Program, and 4 are independent investments led by Capital Nature.
Along their lifecycle, Capital Nature provides its portfolio companies with hands-on business and financial support. Capital Nature continues to support its portfolio companies with follow-on investments and services according to their needs (as of today, Capital Nature took part in all the investment rounds of its portfolio companies).
The Capital Nature team includes professionals in the fields of science, engineering, industry, operations and finance, as well as a variety of top tier service providers and consultants, providing all functions necessary for a young enterprise. Capital Nature’s shareholders, including Elbit, Refael, Direct Insurance, Consensus Business Group and Proseed Fund, share their knowledge and ecosystems with the company and its portfolio.
Capital Nature was established in Israel in 2012, and held a franchise to operate a technological incubator under the Israeli Innovation Authority Incubator program until 2020. Since then, Capital Nature acts as an independent investment firm and continues to promote innovation technologies in the Israeli Climatech ecosystem.
The company is based in Israel, with HQ in Tel Aviv, and offices in Eilat Eilot and London.
Ofir joined Capital Nature, as CEO early in 2021. Before joining, Ofir held several managerial positions in LR Group, a multi-national project company, including the CEO of Clal Sun, an Israeli renewables company, leading major PV project development through to financing, construction and operation. Prior to Clal Sun, Ofir was the CFO of Rafael Development Company (RDC) and several of RDC’s subsidiaries, dealing with sprouting activities of a dozen newly formed start-up companies in fields of medical device, energy, software, and automotive, escorting them from establishment through development, international VCs fund raising and several successful exits. Ofir also served in the financial department of dual TA/NASDAQ-listed Elron Electronic Industries.
Ofir holds a BA in Economics and Accounting from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and is also a graduate of the Tel-Aviv University Business School, where he attained his MBA with focus on finance.
An expert on national innovation policies and on the Israeli innovation infrastructure-related (energy, water, construction, transportation, environment) ecosystem. In his recent position as a Senior Director for Energy, Sustainability & Infrastructure at the Israel Innovation Authority (IIA) Gil has been the main initiator of a revolution in Israel’s national innovation policy, aimed at creating the conditions for growth of tech companies active in “hard” fields, such as energy, cleantech, construction, transportation, and more.
Tali joined Capital Nature in 2017, bringing extensive experience in accounting, cashflow control and financial and budget planning, for both startups and private and public holding companies and incubators. In the scope of her responsibility, Tali oversees Capital Natures’ financial and legal activities, including fundraising and investment execution, as well as its’ portfolio companies, providing them with CFO and bookkeeping services (during their incubation period and thereafter as needed), overseeing their next rounds of financing and other commercial activities. Prior to joining Capital Nature, Tali served as the Controller of Gefen Biomed Investment, a public holding company and technological incubator traded on the Tel-Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE).
Tali holds LL.B in Law and B.A. in Accounting from the College of Management – Academic Studies in Israel and is a Certified CPA and Certified lawyer in Israel
Dr. Dan Sagie
Dan joined Capital Nature in 2014 bringing extensive experience and a deep understanding of energy technologies and project implementation. Dan spent most of his professional career at the Nuclear Research Center, Negev (NRCN). Since 1982, Dan is also projects manager and then the Chief Scientist for Renewable Energy in Rotem Industries – NRCN’s commercial arm. Throughout his career, Dan was involved in large scale projects to name only a few: he was CEO of Laser-On, a start targeting the Medical lasers market, he headed the commercial scale volumetric air receiver Rotem’s project together with Boeing and Ormat at the Weizmann Institute Solar Facilities, he led the R&D of solar power plants new generations at Siemens CSP (formerly Solel), he worked at the U. of Chicago (non-imaging optics) and spent a Sabbatical at NREL in CO, USA. Dan was the Ministry of Energy chief Scientist’s referee for Solar Energy, and currently serves as the secretary of ISES Israeli section.
Dan holds a PhD in Gas Dynamics from the University of Toronto, UTIAS (1981); M.Sc. at the Ben Gurion University (1979), and a B.Sc. in Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering from the Technion (1964).
Operation & Marketing Manager
Michal joined Capital Nature in 2019, bringing extensive experience in building businesses and nurturing their growth, building organizational procedures based on company policies and goals, streamlining and generating efficiencies in organizational activities, and conducting complex processes between large governmental and business organizations, including large scale procurement projects.
Prior to joining Capital Nature, Michal was an entrepreneur, owner and active manager of a neighborhood coffee place. Prior to that, Michal was Global Procurement and Contract Manager at Better Place and before that, was a Senior Buyer and Contract Manager at the IDF Mission to the US in NYC.
Michal holds LL.B in Law and B.A in Business Administration from the Interdisciplinary Center, Herzliya.

Orelle brings extensive professional experience in the fields of Sustainability, Finance, and Consulting. Within her role as Deal Flow Manager, Orelle focuses on sourcing, screening, and managing potential investments throughout the pipeline.
