|Avi joined Capital Nature in 2012, bringing extensive experience managing and funding programs in the public sector, and vast experience in leadership of entrepreneurship and startup projects. As the Founder and Director of the Regional Development Center at the Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Labor (MOITAL) he led policy formulation of new economic development models (such as industrial parks, national research institutions, and special R&D programs for technology start-ups and SME’s) alongside serving as Israel’s delegate to the LEED and TDPC Executive Committees in the OECD.
Prior, Avi served as the Deputy Legal Advisor at MOITAL and Legal Advisor to the Chief Scientist, and served as director at the Governmental Start-Up Fund and of the Israeli Industry Center for R&D (MATIMOP). Avi holds a LL.M. (Law) from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and EMPA from Syracuse University, NY, on a Fulbright scholarship.
|Shirley joined Capital Nature in 2011 as its VP Investments. Shirley brings extensive experience in both investment and operational roles. For nine years, Shirley was with Poalim Ventures where she led investment opportunities from introduction, via due diligence and deal making, to actively working with the portfolio companies on the Board of Directors, to support them with strategy, financing issues, recruitment, and exiting. Shirley’s experience also includes senior international marketing roles that spanned over the range of product management, product marketing and go-to market strategy, business/cooperation development, and team management in companies like ECI Telecom, Radway, Teledata, DEC, and others.
Shirley holds a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts and an MBA from Tel Aviv University.

|Noam has been with Capital Nature since its inception, active in its establishment.
Previously, Noam founded and managed Eilat-Eilot Renewable Energy Initiative, a comprehensive model for for solving the energy crisis by advancing all necessary components and generating substantial regional development. The project received wide recognition by government and the public. Among his roles, Noam was in charge for setting up the Eilat Eilot Renewable Energy Technological Center, was material in the establishment of the Timna 200MW Solar Park, and in bringing leading pilot projects to the region. Noam serves as chair of Eilat-Eilot Renewable Energy Conference, one of the world’s leading RE events. In 1995 Noam Founded and managed Cortext Ltd., one of Israel’s first Internet related software companies, later acquired by VCI a NASDAQ traded company.
Noam possesses deep Knowledge of RE markets & technologies.
He holds a BA degree in Business Administration; MA in Environmental Studies (Tel-Aviv University).
|Mr. Weiss was the CFO of Yissum, the technology transfer company of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and responsible for the portfolio of subsidiaries as well as a board member in many of the subsidiaries of Yissum. Mr. Weiss was the finance director of Tecnomatix (NASDAQ: TCNO). Mr. Weiss was involved in several M&A transactions including TCNO’s acquisition by UGS. He previously served as CFO of three privately-held companies and earlier in his career worked at IDB Holdings, where he also represented the company on the boards of several venture capital funds. Mr Weiss holds an MBA degree in Finance and Accountancy and a BA degree in Accountancy and Economics both from Tel-Aviv University.
Mr. Weiss is also a Certified Public Accountant in Israel.
|Dan joined Capital Nature Jan 2014 as a Technology Advisor bringing extensive experience and a deep understanding of energy technologies and project implementation. Dan spent most of his professional career at the Nuclear Research Center, Negev (NRCN). Since 1982, Dan is also projects manager and then the Chief Scientist for Renewable Energy in Rotem Industries – NRCN’s commercial arm. Throughout his career, Dan was involved in large scale projects to name only a few: he was CEO of Laser-On, a start targeting the Medical lasers market, he headed the commercial scale volumetric air receiver Rotem’s project together with Boeing and Ormat at the Weizmann Institute Solar Facilities, he led the R&D of solar power plants new generations at Siemens CSP (formerly Solel), he worked at the U. of Chicago (non-imaging optics) and spent a Sabbatical at NREL in CO, USA. Dan was the Ministry of Energy chief Scientist’s referee for Solar Energy, and currently serves as the secretary of ISES Israeli section. Dan accomplished his PhD in Gas Dynamics at the University of Toronto, UTIAS (1981); M.Sc. at the Ben Gurion University (1979), and a B.Sc. in Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering from the Technion (1964).|
|Dr. David Stavitsky is the CTO of Capital Nature, till his retirement from Elbit Systems in 2016 he served as the Corporate Chief Scientist and Senior VP of Elbit Systems, overseeing technologies development, internal R&D and Intellectual Property. He is the chairmen of the investment committee of Incubit (an Elbit Systems Incubator).
Dr. Stavitsky holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering since 1979, graduating Cum Laude. His knowhow spans many fields of engineering and science From 1995-2001 he led the Remote sensing Division of ELOP, in charge of Space and Airborne Reconnaissance cameras development and production as well as Airborne, Ship borne and Vehicle borne Electro-optical stabilized payloads. Dr. Stavitsky served many other positions at ELOP since 1983 including the pioneering work on establishment of its Space Cameras Infrastructure, knowhow and technological capabilities and development of several space-borne cameras. Among the pioneers of the Israeli Space program, he received the Israel Defense Award in 1995.
From 1979-1983 he was a Senior Researcher at the RCA research center in Princeton NJ.
