Ariel U signs funding agreement for renewal energy innovations
Ariel University R&D Co. Ltd, the tech transfer organization of Ariel University, Israel, has signed a funding agreement with Capital Nature, Ltd. for investments in Renewable Energy Applied Research.

This deal calls for Capital Nature to fund Ariel University R&D projects lasting one to two years. Selected projects will receive grants ranging from $50K to $200K. In return for its investments, Capital Nature gets the right of first review and may choose to license funded technologies under pre-agreed financial terms.

The funding will be capped at $2.5 million, and is earmarked for cleantech projects in renewable energy (solar, wind, geothermal, wave, etc.), bio-fuel and biomass, energy efficiency, smart grid technology, and energy storage.

Capital Nature is an investment firm with partners from leading Israeli industry and financial companies including Consensus Business Group, Elbit Systems, and Rafael Advanced Defense Systems focused on funding and accelerating early-stage green energy ventures.
